RWS6 Wildlife and Birds in Akagera

A 3 day safari which starts and finishes in Kigali. This safari can also be done on a private basis. It can also be done as an extension to Classic Uganda and Rwanda.

This safari visits Akagera with its beautiful undulating plains, its woodlands and sprawling lakes and wetlands. The game in the park is steadily increasing, with elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, crocodile and different antelope beginning to be seen. Akagera has a good selection of birds.

Clients stay 2 nights at the newly opened Akagera Lodge.

Day 1 SATURDAY
Briefing on your safari. Drive to the east of Rwanda to Akagera National Park bordering Tanzania. Game drive in the park to see a variety of birds and animals such as elephant, giraffe, buffalo, spotted hyena, hippo, and crocodiles. O/N: Akagera Lodge (FB).

Day 2 SUNDAY
Game drives in the park or a canoe ride on Lake Ihema to see the large number of hippo, the huge Nile crocodile and birds. O/N: Akagera Lodge (FB).

Day 3 MONDAY
An early morning game drive. Lunch and return to Kigali.
